For the Love of Jewels & A Glamorous FREE GIVEAWAY!

One of my absolute most favorite things in this entire world is jewelry!!! Nothing makes me happier than a gorgeous statement necklace ;) There's no denying that I love my accessories, whether it be jewelry, knobs or a crystal chandelier ;) I'm all about anything that adds a little extra glam! I've been collecting jewelry ever since I can remember. Everywhere I travel I like to buy a piece to remember that  particular place by. My first job out of college was working for a fine jewelry store. I loved working there because I learned so much about diamonds and loved selling them too! I surely have an appreciation for diamonds and gems but lets face it, to have something big & glamorous (the way I like it), we would be talking in the millions! So the search began for jewelry that wasn't cheap looking, fashion forward, bold and wouldn't break the bank. That's when I fell in love with Stella & Dot. I sold Stella & Dot for about a year until Reagan was born. I accumulated quite the collection to use for trunk shows but I never wanted to sell any of it, because I had truly fallen in love! Now my problem was where to put all this jewelry! I already had a standing jewelry box that was full to the brim! So I looked online at a hundred different sites to see what they offered bigger than what I already had. More importantly, I really wanted to display my jewelry instead of closing it up in a box.

I found zilch, so I finally decided to DIY!! I went to Target to buy a bookshelf. Nothing expensive, just something that would look good in my bedroom and wouldn't take up a ton of space. Then, I got cork board sheets, Martha Stewart "Thundercloud" silver paint, and cup hooks. I painted the back side of the bookshelf and the cork board sheets, silver. I put the cork board sheets on both sides of the first two shelves to hang necklaces and earrings. I screwed the cup hooks into the cork board on the first shelf, for my long necklaces.

The second shelf I use for my earrings, just press the earring posts into the cork board.
